Every year on August 12, the world celebrates International Youth Day — a reminder that the energy, creativity, and innovation of young people are the foundation for building a better future
In Egypt, this vision is brought to life through national initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between education and the labor market, preparing youth to actively contribute to major national projects.
One of the most prominent examples is the Prime Minister’s Initiative for Youth Qualification to Work in National Projects, managed by Petrolift Petroleum Services under the leadership of Eng. Ihab Tadros, with Eng. Mohamed El-Sirafy serving as Training & Technical Support Director for the company and the initiative. See the interview:
A Bridge Between Education and the Real World
The core mission of the initiative is to prepare certified, qualified young professionals who are ready to compete both locally and internationally. Training goes beyond theory, offering hands-on, project-specific programs aligned with global standards to ensure full readiness for on-site work in Egypt and abroad.
Graduates of the initiative are contributing to major projects such as:
The Monorail and Smart Transport Systems
El-Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant
The New Administrative Capital
World-Class Standards
Training is tailored to the requirements of each project, with a strong focus on occupational safety and health. International accreditations are provided, opening the door for employment opportunities both locally and globally.
Opportunities for All
While the initiative focuses on youth, it is open to participants from 18 to 50 years old, with customized training programs based on each role’s requirements.
Impact Beyond Borders
In addition to fueling Egypt’s national projects, the initiative plays a vital role in exporting highly qualified Egyptian talent to global markets, enhancing Egypt’s reputation for skilled human capital.
A Message on International Youth Day
On this occasion, Petrolift affirms that the real investment is in people’s minds and skills - when youth are given the right opportunities and proper training, they become true partners in building the nation and shaping a more prosperous future.
From the heart of national projects, success stories are born… and through knowledge and hard work, we build tomorrow.
